Quick answer

The End is confirmed as an update map name, but the exact ending trigger still needs gameplay proof. Treat this page as a requirements tracker: how to enter The End, what the final objective says, what keys or levers are required, and what confirms completion.

First checks before entering

Before assuming you reached the ending route, record the map that led into it. The current update names Manor-adjacent escape play, Backrooms, Poolrooms and The End separately, so the most useful note is the transition: which door, hallway, prompt, lever or chase moved the run into The End.

Save a revive before testing final-route behavior. If the game returns you to a lobby, restarts the run, or moves you into a cutscene, that outcome matters as much as the route itself.

Requirements to verify

RequirementStatus to record
EntranceWhere The End starts and whether it follows Manor, Backrooms or Poolrooms.
ObjectiveExact objective text or UI prompt on entry.
ItemsAny key, padlock, lever or door state required before the final action.
MonsterWhether The Boiled One or another monster appears in the final area.
CompletionDoor open, cutscene, badge, teleport, lobby return or reward.
Failure caseDeath, revive, reset, softlock, missing trigger or no visible reward.

Practical route notes

If The End does not trigger, walk the route backward in your notes. Check the last locked door, the most recent lever, and whether a previous map still has an unfinished objective. If a final door opens but no badge or cutscene appears, record that as a completion-status issue instead of calling the ending solved.

Common mistakes

  • Calling any late hallway "The End" without seeing a map transition or objective prompt.
  • Carrying the Manor 5-key pattern into The End without evidence.
  • Forgetting to test whether a lever state persists after death.
  • Missing a badge, teleport or lobby return because the run ended suddenly.
  • Treating one failed trigger as proof of a bug before checking previous objectives.

Why this is not titled as a finished ending walkthrough

A finished ending walkthrough gives the exact route and trigger. This page is intentionally titled as requirements because the verified evidence is not complete yet. That makes it useful for players and honest for search: it answers what to check now and defines the proof needed for a full walkthrough.
